ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP  WITH THE AMERICAN HANOVERIAN SOCIETY

(all memberships are calendar year)

 

The American Hanoverian Society (AHS) administers the American Rhineland Studbook (ARS). In order to participate in ARS programs, Rhineland breeders and owners must become members of the AHS.

 

Life Membershi

$800.00
Members have full AHS benefits as listed under the Active membership category. They elect to pay a fee ten times the Active member rate. A Lifetime membership may not be an entity and may not be shared between individuals. Life members receive the AHS/ARS Breeders Guide and Stallion Directory. 

Active Membership
Members participating in the AHS breeding program (i.e. paying mare dues and/or registering a foal, presenting horses for inspection and/or performance testing, or standing a stallion). Active members are eligible for Hanoverian and Rhineland awards, may hold office, serve on committees and vote. They receive the AHS/AR
S Breeders Guide and Stallion Directory.

New Active Members (Have never been a member of the AHS) $80.00

Renewing members paying PRIOR to Jan. 1 $80.00
Renewal Fee paying AFTER Jan. 1 $95.00

Regular Membership
Members who are not participating in the AHS breeding program but are eligible for Hanoverian and Rhineland awards, may hold office, serve on committees and vote. Regular members receive the AHS/AR
S Breeders Guide and Stallion Directory.

New Active Members (Have never been a member of the AHS) $80.00

Renewing members paying PRIOR to Jan. 1 $80.00

Renewal Fee paying AFTER Jan. 1 $95.00

Associate Membership
Members who are not participating in the AHS breeding programs, but are eligible for Hanoverian and Rhineland awards. Associate members may not hold office, serve on committees or vote. Associate members may purchase a copy of the annual AHS/AR
S Breeders Guide and Stallion Directory at a cost of $20.

New Associate Members (Have never been a member of the AHS) $55.00

Renewal Fee paying AFTER Jan. 1 $70.00

Junior/ Young Rider/ Young Breeder Membership
Members under the age of 21 (as of the date of payment) not participating in the AHS breeding program. Junior members are eligible for Hanoverian and Rhineland awards, but may not hold office, serve on committees or vote. Jr, YR and YB members may purchase a copy of the annual 
AHS/ARS Breeders Guide and Stallion Directory at a cost of $20.  A Junior membership expires at the end of the calendar year in which the member reaches the age of 21.

ANNUAL HORSE DUES

Mare Dues  paid PRIOR to May 1 of the dues year $40.00
Dues paid AFTER May 1 of the dues year will be $60.00 
(Note: To register a foal, mare dues are required for the year of conception and year of foaling) 

ARS Stallion Dues paid in the year PRIOR to the dues year

BRANDING FEES 

Branding fees for 2017 Rhineland yearlings will be waived.  Please note: (there will be NO BRANDING after the yearling year.
Outreach branding for foals or yearlings will incur travel costs.

CERTIFICATES OF PEDIGREE 

Beginning in 2017, all horses regardless of age that are issued a Certificate of Pedigree are required to be microchipped.  The microchip may be purchased through the AHS office at the time of application.
