Twenty-four 2016 inspection sites in seventeen states round out the very first American Rhineland Studbook inspection tour. This tour marks the first time the Rhineland horse has enjoyed representation in the US, and will be a joint effort with the American Hanoverian Society.
At each site, mares will be presented for consideration of inclusion in the Studbook, and foals will be exhibited. Most Tour sites will include the opportunity for breeders to participate in a Mare Performance Test, which includes both under-saddle and free-jumping assessment components. Two of these inspection locations will also serve as Stallion Licensing sites, one in California and one in Maryland. To accommodate the varied weather conditions throughout the US, both Summer and Fall dates are slated.
You don't have to own a horse to help us celebrate this inaugural tour! Spectators and both encouraged and welcomed at all the inspection sites. For more information and a list of sites and dates, please visit www.Rhineland.org, or contact the ARS office at 859-629-8517.
