Hilltop Farm was host to the AHS/ARS East Coast stallion licensing this past Saturday. Five stallions were presented, and two stallions were licensed. The judging panel consisted of Dr. Ludwig Christmann of the Hanoverian Verband, Stallion Committee member Mr George Walker of South Carolina, and former AHS Vice President Suzanne Quarles of Maryland.
One of the newly licensed stallions is the 2006 Oldenburg stallion Rocazino (Rosentanz/ Silvio I/ Feiner Stern/ Harlekin). Bred by Heino Lueschen of Germany, and owned by is Fie Studnitz Andersen, this tall, handsome bay stallion had previously met all of his performance requirements. With this successful licensing, Rocazino is now fully approved with both the American Rhineland studbook, the American Hanoverian Society, and the Hanoverian Verband. The 10yo met his requirements through dressage performance, but has shown decided scope and technique in the jump chute as well, marking him as an interesting dual-talent.
Roncazino stands at Equito Dressage LLC (Equito North in Hamilton MA and at Equito South in Southern Pines, NC).
