If your mare or stallion is already fully approved with another registry, you may not have to take them to an inspection to be entered into the Rhineland studbooks and register foals!

This incentive program ends on 12/31/2021.

Mare Owners

For 2021, any non-Rhineland or non-Hanoverian mare that is registered in the Main Marebook of a registry specified in the “Eligible Registries” list (included below) may be permanently entered in the Rhineland Studbook without presentation, contingent upon approval of the mare’s pedigree, confirmation of recorded DNA, and receipt of a copy of the official Main Marebook inspection scoresheet.

Fee schedule for auto-approval of a mare into the ARS Main Studbook:

1. $60 Auto-Approval Fee

2. $60 UC-Davis DNA recording, if not already on file

3. $80 2021 AHS membership dues, if not already a member

Stallion Owners

For 2021, non-Hanoverian and non-Rhineland stallions that have been licensed by a registry specified in the “Eligible Registries” list (included below), and have met certain pedigree, DNA and performance requirements, may be eligible to be entered into the Rhineland Studbook without additional inspection. Stallions who meet the approval criteria, and upon receipt of fees, will be entered into the Rhineland Studbook. If the owner elects to activate their stallion for 2021, the stallion will be listed on the ARS website and 2021 foals may be registered without a foreign sire fee to the mare owner.

1. $100 Auto-Approval Fee

2. $60 UC-Davis DNA recording, if not already on file

3. $80 2021 AHS membership, if not already a member

4. $100 2021 ARS Annual Stallion Activation, if desired

Other warmblood mares and stallions may be eligible and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. You may submit your mare or stallion for eligibility approval on-line.
